Why July doesn’t have to be “dry”

If you’ve not heard of Dry July, where have you been? It’s the month that sees us give up that Friday wine, a beer while we’re watching the footie or that sneaky gin after a long day, in order to raise all important funds for those affected by cancer. If you’re taking part this month, first of all high five and second of all, this does not have to mean staying in every weekend refreshing your Instagram stories and getting serious FOMO. We’ve got five sensational social activities for you to get involved in that guarantees you’ll have a whale of time (see number three).

Become A Mocktail Marvel

Ring up your girlfriends and get together for catch-ups and mocktails. These delicious beverages are all the fun and the flavour possibilities are endless. We recommend using fresh ingredients, like lychee, as these will give your mocktails a punch and partner well with Seedlip which is a great substitute for gin. Why not try out these: Honey, You’re Sweet, Choc-tini Mocktail,White Russian Mocktail.

That Holiday Feeling

Does most your monthly paycheque go towards your weekend antics? This Dry July, why not create unforgettable memories and book a flight to that country or city you’ve been eying up for ages? To make it even better, there are loads of airline sales on RN to celebrate the end of the financial year. BONUS!

Have A Whale Of A Time

Prepare to be flabbergasted – it’s whale season! Each year from May – November thousands of whales migrate up North, so why not get involved and create some unforgettable memories. On the west coast? Catch humpback whales on the southern beaches for the best view. Sydney siders can book a whale watching cruise through Whale Watching Sydney to have a chance to see these majestic creatures. If you’re in Melbourne, head to Vitoria’s spectacular coastline to catch a glimpse!

Dude, Where’s My Car?

The best way to experience Australia is to grab your friends, throw everything in the car, load up on the car snacks (like these Raspberry Crumb Bars) and turn the volume up on your fav sing-a-long playlist. If you’re in Melbourne, why not head to the Great Ocean Road and if you’re in Sydney head to the Blue Mountains. Need some inspo? https://www.ytravelblog.com/best-road-trips-in-australia/
